OSU - Columbus Campus
ACAP-OHIO is an innovative career development program designed specifically for minority high school students. This fully-supervised, week long summer residency program was developed to give minority students an opportunity to explore careers in accounting and business.
During their stay on campus, students attend a variety of business and college preparatory workshops and are introduced to topics such as accounting, finance, economics, computer technology, and business management. ACAP-Ohio is sponsored by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) in conjunction with the Fisher College of Business, which has hosted the program for the past sixteen years.
ACAP-Ohio 2014 will be held June 8 - 13. Students selected to attend will receive free room and board, books, materials, tours and mentoring associated with the program funded by prominent regional and national accounting firms and corporations. Candidates for ACAP-Ohio must complete an application, obtain one personal reference, write a 200-word essay and submit official transcripts. Students may apply online at www.FutureCPA.com. The deadline for submission of application materials is April 1st, 2014. Students accepted into the program will be notified by April 25th, 2014.
